Old Mondoro Bush Camp is mostly known for leopard sightings in Africa. This luxury bush camp is a sister camp to Chiawa camp.
Old Mondoro bush camp has only 8 beds. The camp is designed and built to the code of Environmental Council of Zambia and Zambia Wildlife Authority. The camp use renewable materials in its construction, and are locally purchased. Its design blends in with the environment. 24 volt silent inverter power and low energy light bulbs are used in the camp to reduce fossil fuel dependence by 30%. Aluminum water bottles are used by guests to reduce consumption of plastic water bottles as this reduces waste. The 2 stroke outboard boat motors have been replaced by 4 strokes to also reduce emissions and fossil fuel consumption by 50%. Printing is done using recycled papers.
